INVITATION TO PARTNER WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CANCER CENTRE ABUJA PROJECT
We bring you warm greetings and kindest regards from all members of the Planning Committee of the International Cancer Center, Abuja. You are no doubt aware of the ravages the cancer scourge has unleashed on people all over the world, especially in the developing nations.
In Africa, cancer is a sentence to a painful and distressing death, because treatment and care are lacking. By 2020, it is projected that there will be 15 million new cases of cancer every year and 70 percent of these will be in the developing world.
Mindful of all these, the First Lady, Hajiya (Dr.) Turai Yar’Adua, decided to initiate the International Cancer Centre, Abuja. The centre, when in place, will offer patients in Nigeria and Africa an integrated, whole-person treatment that would include the most effective and modern forms of diagnosis, treatment and research.
Achieving this objective would certainly require enormous resources. In view of this, Her Excellency respectfully invites you to associate with this laudable cause by partnering with the International Cancer Centre Abuja.
